Shipping Zones
These are the current shipping zones and costs from our manufacturing facility in Gainesville, FL.
Yes, shipping can get very expensive, but the cost of fuel drives the price and truckers have to make a
living, too. Our charges are usually much less than standard shipping rates.
We ship our trailers through uShip.com, an eBay company. Here, we locate independent truckers who are
looking to fill out a load, or who may be "deadheading" home and looking to find loads to help pay for fuel.
The shipment is arranged when the trailer is almost completed. Pickup and delivery must be
flexible, so don't, please don't, plan on starting trip the day after you ask your trailer to be
delivered. If it comes in a few days late, you will be angry with us and we don't want that. You might
ask for Friday and it arrives on Sunday, or Monday. That happens, so please be flexible.
NOTE: We can arrange shipping with better schedules, but you will pay a lot
more. The latest minimum (non-uShip) quotes we get are a minimum of $500 plus $0.55 per mile
- and fuel prices are on the rise again. Our methods save you a lot of money.
Your Smart Trailer USA will be shipped on an open flatbed trailer, unless you email us that towing it
is okay. Towing will generally get your trailer there faster and is recommended. (You're buying a
trailer to tow, so...?) It might get a bit of dirt on it but if you want it as soon as possible, this is the
way to go.
The shipping zones below show the flat rate we charge you. Obviously, the rate is not the
same throughout a zone. We never buld in a profit on shipping, and in about half the shipments we
actually lose money.
